Everything You Need to Know About World Dog Day
- Equipo NUPEC®
This July 21, as every year, animal lovers around the world celebrate a very special day: World Dog Day.
It's a unique date on the calendar meant to honor and celebrate dogs and pay well-deserved tribute to all the work and well-being they offer humankind, from being our life companions to providing emotional support and comfort through dog-assisted therapy. But caring for our emotions isn't all dogs do: they also rescue us from natural disasters as part of life-saving K9 teams, serve as police dogs that keep order and protect us, and some even use their noses to look after people's health.
The work dogs do for humanity is invaluable, which is why we dedicate this day, World Dog Day, to celebrating everything they do for us.
However, the purpose of this day isn't only to celebrate the love and work dogs give us. It also has an important awareness mission: to remind us of our social commitment to their care, especially for vulnerable dogs and those living on the streets. World Dog Day reminds us of the importance of the social commitment we all share, at every level, to the well-being of abandoned animals.
As a brand, NUPEC® shares this commitment to the care and well-being of all dogs in Mexico and around the world. Besides celebrating dogs on this special day, we run various programs throughout the year to promote the well-being of vulnerable dogs: we help shelters, we promote ongoing adoption of stray animals through platforms like Perromies by NUPEC and, above all, we are committed to proper feeding and scientific nutrition for pets through our line of specialized and maintenance food. We know that the best way to provide well-being to a companion animal is through conscious scientific nutrition, and at NUPEC® we work all year round to nourish dogs and cats that way.
Besides World Dog Day, there are other dates dedicated to dogs:
- July 27: World Stray Dog Day
- August 26: Dog Day
- October 4: World Animal Day
- In November, Kukur Tihar is celebrated worldwide: a Hindu festival honoring pets that has become popular around the globe.
At NUPEC®, we are committed to enhancing the health, beauty and life of pets through responsible scientific nutrition, bringing fulfillment to their owners.
